18v Ryobi One+ Range - 2013

Is anybody familiar with the Ryobi One+ Range currently on sale in B&Q?

I am in the market for a few new power tools - drill, jiggy, circ.saw, impact driver etc. This 18v battery range seems reasonable at first inspection. Is Ryobi gear generally well made to mild/medium duty use?

Ive looked around the net/forums and found a few comments on this which seem to be generally positive, though mostly from 2008 time. Can anybody offer their opinions on a more recent experience?

It's better to go through the Ryobitools site because it gives information on all old and the latest tools available in the market and one can get these tools in reasonable rate.

in-car charger i picked up for £.50 from makro great bargain
kit boxes of drill bits and blades
tool tote
in the loft i have a combi drill and circ saw still boxed up but am giving them to my little sis as she needs a drill
next on my list is the impact wrench the multi tool and the grinder oh and the random orbit sander then who knows what else they come out with lol

We we are safe to say that we generally approve of ryobi build quality then. And I do hammer my tools for hours on end and abuse them so I would think they should serve me well.

I deffo approve and im a builder so they get terrorised daily my logic ryobi impact say 69 quid makita 199 if i drop 1 ryobi off a tower by mistake yeah its 70 quid but its not a worlds end but a 200 quid makita would make my day end badly. And i see no difference in tools if im honest although i like the lime green more than blue

Looks like I am in a minority here if we are including mains powered gear as I really do not rate my little Ryobi Circular saw, model WS 512.
I bought it many years ago and for some reason didn't take to it, so it sat in the attic until recently, when I got it out to give it a go.
I doubt it has been used more than 6 times in 10-15 years as it just doesn't inspire confidence.
It was a cheapish buy I seem to remember and when using it today I know why. I made one cut then got my equally old jigsaw out and used that instead as I felt safer.
Could be just me, but I have not been tempted to look at their newer gear as a result - maybe I should...?

it may be its a right handed saw as in the blade faces the user when held on the rhs where as most are lhs

Oooo post mans been today dropped the 12v drill driver off and the tek4 multi meter as my fluke tester finally died. The 12v replaces my 10.8 makita so far seems good but the multi meter is way more than i expected 4v li ion bat test lwads croc clips back light etc etc but what i didnt no and any sparks like me will have had this problem try holding a meter while working on a fuse board and holding it the 2 dont go together well but this tek 4 has little strong clips the hooks onto stuff impressed

the 10.8 and the 12v are the same voltage off batteries regardless off what they say
