Ready mixed adhesive is sometimes ok but stay well clear of any fix and grout types. It'd be easier sticking them up with manjuice

Up to 200X200 in a kitchen then most ready mixed are not too bad. Depends on what makes you have near to you.

Any size in a bathroom..............cement based only.

Should add that the above applies to us. You will find tilers that tile 300X300 with ready mixed adhesive, and also use it in bathrooms.

ready mixed is no quicker than cement based. In fact it is probably longer. Yes you have to mix it and that takes all of 3 minutes by hand, but it spreads easier and quicker than ready mixed.

Royaloakcarpentry the room is the bathroom and the tiles are 250mm x 400mm
And yes I agree it does only take 3mins ish to mix up cement based adhesive just lazily though open tub and put on the wall rather than mixing powder and water  got a bit lazy there but also past experience with mixing is that there is never quite enough at the end of the day for that one last tile so you either throw adhesive at bottom of tub away or you mix up some more and then you might over mix again and all this seems to add more cost IMO that's why I thought ready mixed

wine~o i found this what do you think of their own brand, im not trying to scrimp just looking for a deal. If i have to pay top money i will but if a good product is cheaper then i will go for that.

Never used it, but other wickes gear is OK, :dunno: do you really need the rapid set though? The 24hour stuff is cheaper..

wine~o yes you are right i didnt look at the 24hr one as it says Floor Adhesive then clicked on it and in the description says its for both, but the rapid set is 2 for £30 but i suppose the saving of £2 for two bags isnt worth the hassle of drying so quick
