Re: Lounge overhaul - start to finish
That's the ceiling painted. It's had 1 watered down coat and a full coat. One more later should see it done!
The plaster is drying. I've fitted a temporary light as there's not much light in the evenings anymore!
Still on schedule as long as it hurry's up!

Lounge overhaul - start to finish
Good day in the lounge today!
The fireplace people came and installed the new fireplace......
The father-law had fitted the door liner earlier in the week.....,,
(The screw holes will be plugged after the door has been fitted just incase anything needs a tweak)
The architrave went in today.......
Followed by the skirting boards.......
The curved walls either side of the fireplace were fun. They'll look great once the filler and paint had been applied tomorrow!
Oh, almost forgot; new light fitting is up too!
All coming together now.

Re: Lounge overhaul - start to finish
Wall papering is now finished. I'm glad there's no big pattern as some of the corners were way out!
The curved walls were a challenge too. That's the first time we've done a full room of that size with the windows and fireplace and were very happy with how it's turned out. All of the woodwork has been painted so that's about it for us. We are having the carpet fitted by others and we've not chosen the curtains yet.
I need to get the radiator back on before Wednesday. I think I'll leave it for tonight and have a go tomorrow.

:-(
I forgot about the window sills. They weren't in on Saturday so I've been promised them tomorrow. That's another job that needs doing before the carpet goes down on Wednesday.

Job done apart from curtains. We couldn't decide what to go for but they're now on order.
That's a job for next weekend!

Re: Lounge overhaul - start to finish
Looks nice! Fireplace turned out well - good job on the curved skirting too!! I fitted skirting to the inside of a 3m dia turret a few years back so I know it's time consuming to do right! :)
