my brothers 10.8v oscillating saw [gop] stopped working
dismantled the transfer box expecting something wrong
no problem crisp clean well made all metal and solid
turns to the gear sticking out from the motor rotates is very lumpy and the fan connected to the motor just jumping and springing back so dismantles the casing and have a closer look the plastic gear is molded onto a metal sleeve with ridges like a coarse gear
so i thought fair enough the plastic gear had stripped so not transferring any power
get a couple off spares and combine the postage
go to miles tools and solent powertools websites
phoned them both up yes the both have or can get it no problem its part 802 in the diagram

Re: shame on you bosch
we would probably be about the same price plus carriage costs to get it back down the road
our Bosch spares portal lists every version, some grinders have about 90 versions depending where about in the world you are.

Re: shame on you bosch
i dont actually want a new motor i would prefer to pay say £3 for a 20p gear
i have found one off my old meccano gears thats the right size but would need every other tooth removed
get a whole machine for £25 more

Re: shame on you bosch
Bosch used to make good tools and had a motto something like "we would rather lose money than make poor tools"
Unfortunately this seems no longer the case!
My Bosch PMF 10.8Li did not last long before it needed fixing, luckily the part in mine was only a quid or so (plus postage)

chez the videos dont appear to work properly
the sounds ok but the picture is static and moves every few seconds
i tried several logged out and back in
i then logged on to utube and that was fine
the newer machines are vastly different to that one
