Had a brief look at them today and they come apart with a decent thump - the display one was looking a bit worse for wear after half a day of being demonstrated. The blokey in B&Poo reckoned they can be assembled & taken apart around 10 times before they start to fail - not sure why you would want to do this, unless it will start a new trend in people taking their kitchens with them when they move house!
Slightly pricier than C&L standard units and I don't think anybody plans a job so tight on time that they would give much of an advantage (use pre-built if time is that tight!) - might be ok for people who don't know which end of a screwdriver to hold!!!

i can see no advantage at all from disassembling a cabinet you just finish up with bits all over the place that will be damaged/weakend in the process

The unilin mechanism BA and the structure

Knowing just how good the unilin locking system is and remembering a lot of my peers sucking lemons when unilin and other locking system patents (Although a lot of the others still fall short!) were introduced into the laminate flooring industry, I really wouldn't dismiss this chaps!! I installed T & G laminate floors with pva adhesive for around two years prior to using the unilin system and my thoughts were 'this can't be as strong as pva,,,It'll just fall to pieces!!'...How wrong I was

I think you may be witnessing the transition here peeps, I could be wrong but lets see. They'll be many that will say it won't replace a master carpentered custom kitchen and they may be right. However, I can see it bull dozing the conventional lower and middle market kitchens perhaps higher..

I know what you're saying BA...That's just a little sales fluff mate...Although, I can see peoples ears popping up though for bedroom furniture etc...I still use the same pitch with laminate floors but in reality, people rarely disassemble (Sound like Johny 5 - the film short circuit for the uncultured lot )

Next will be easy repair But these are just added extras in the sales pitch and the overwhelming benefit is the speed and ease mixed with a quality locking system. Not great for the trade as it'll half installation times but all that's been said before when the wheel was invented

We might take up the European culture of taking our kitchens with us when we sell our houses yet

you either use it or not use it
you cant take them with you when you move they are fixtures and fittings
