Trend Varijig

Post by Hitch »

Bought a trend varijig a couple of weeks ago.
I had a job to do with various square and rectangle cutouts in one sheet.

Once youve worked out the cutter and guidebush sizes, i found it fairly easy to setup. Although it has built in rules in each piece, they didnt seem to work to a particular measurment. And they keep falling out when its led against the shed wall :?

It didnt slide to the correct size as easy as id expected, but i suppose thats due to it being brand new.

It was a bit cumbersumb to use for cutting smaller holes, with the rails stuck out at all directions  And a bit difficult to clamp in some positions.

Once setup though, it was fairly easy to use, it was just getting it there.

But theres no other easy ways to do what it can do that i have seen.

If i had to rate it, 6/10
Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one?
