I have heard of it and i do think we have it. I was using a tablet called pariet and that didn,t work so i am trying another pill now called Nexium .
This has been going on for a year now so i am going to see a specialist in the first week of January . It took 10 months to get a appointment.

Hi John, mrs.woody has a hiatus hernia and used to drink gallons of gaviscon for acid, then around a year ago she was prescribed nexium, she now reckons it's the best. She is supposed to take one per day but sometimes goes 2 or 3 day's without needing one. Hope you get a remedy for yours because i can remember how much discomfort it caused mrs.woody
People forget how fast you did a job - but they remember how well you did it.

I remember I was hill walking in the lake district. Came off the hill after having been walking for several hours. Started to feel a sharp pain in the middle of my chest. It was like a crushing pain. I ended up collapsing onto the road. My wife was shouting oh my god I will need to get an ambulance. I was like no no Just leave it it will go away. After about 5 minutes it eased. Jumped in the car drove as fast as I could to my local A&E. Strapped me to loads of heart monitor stuff. After several hours they diagnosed. Heartburn I was prescribed medication which does control the pain. It was a terrible pain that thankfully I have never had again

They say that people with that kind of pain who reckon it is a heart attack almost always have heartburn, and the people who think they just have heartburn are the ones who are having the heart attacks! (Mrs H is a nursey and I must absorb all this stuff via osmosis )The Weegie wrote:I remember I was hill walking in the lake district. Came off the hill after having been walking for several hours. Better safe then sorry, mind
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
