kitchen floor height

Post by sussplan »

Hi

fitting kitchen units but need to install at a height for future install of flooring. Flooring undecided but likely to be engineered wood so approx 135-180mm. Plinth height is 140 but can only adjust feet to 150. Is it ok to cut 12mm ply into strips and install under feet to give the extra height required?

Cheers muchly

I would also recommend cutting the plywood in to squares at least double the footprint of the legs to spread the weight, as your be suprised the amount of weight that ends up in , kitchen cabinets

I think I'd be tempted to get a sample of the intended flooring , before fitting the kitchen, so you can get the height right.
Usual height of plinths is 150mm. Most adjustable feet can accommodate depths from about 130mm - 170mm
