Internet Explorer

Post by delbeb »

I have a problem in Windows 7 with my Internet Explorer 11. After 5 years I had to reconfigure my computer due to so much rubbish and old bits of files etc. Trouble is when I try to open some pages I am receiving the error message 'Internet Express cannot open the page requested. I have had this with about a dozen pages. The most critical one being Paypal. I can open them all in Chrome But not Internet Explorer. I did not have this problem before I reconfigured. Some might say why not stick to Chrome but I am 73 and a creature of habit and have been using Explorer since home computers were marketed. Silly old fart. Can anyone come up with any suggestions as to what the problem could be. I am at a loss why so many pages open OK but the odd few won't.
Kind regards

Might be worth clearing out your cache, cookies and temporary files,... easiest way is download CC Cleaner from piriform..

Free version is available... https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Make a note of any "Saved passwords" just in case though.

HTH, If you still have the same problem after running CC Cleaner post back.

Thank you Wine-O,
I did try that but I didn't work. I have since updated my Explorer, the one I was using was version 8, I have now installed version 11 and the web pages will now open. Mind you I had a job installing version 11 for some reason. Thank you for your interest and reply. Much appreciated.
