Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Re: Youtube
its down to the BB code and the way it handles the links it doesn't seem to like the shortened links - there is more than likely a add-on or patch for the forum to cure it

Re: Youtube
Stevie, you can alter your pasted link manually.
Example :
Your link - http://youtu.be/wbyqri2sfto
An embeddable link (the same video as yours) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbyqri2sfto < this is how your final link should look, for that video..
So you'll have to manually change the 'youtb.be/' to 'www.youtube.com/' and the 'wbyqri2sfto' to 'watch?v=wbyqri2sfto'.
Sounds complicated, but if you end up doing it a lot, you'll soon get used to it
Obviously, you'll place the link between [youtube]Your manually changed link goes here[/youtube]
Give it a try

I'm far too lazy and far too forgetful with computers/tablets to remember that wesWes wrote:Stevie, you'll have to alter your pasted link manually.

Why can't it just be like it is on Facebook when you press share and it just happens!
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

Re: Youtube
Since I can't change the original YouTube BBCode to the shortened "youtu.be" URL without breaking all posted YouTube videos, I've created a second button and slightly modified the original to allow both "http" and "https". The new button also has this provision. Enjoy.
