dewalt 18v grinder

Post by rskbob »

Hi, I bought a second hand dc410 18v grinder from ebay but the flanges to hold the discs on were missing. This is my second grinder and the flanges on my old one won't fit the new one. Other grinders seem to have a standard 14mm thread including my old one. Has anybody any idea how this one ended up with 15mm threads or where to get a flange that fits, thanks. The seller by the way covered himself well by saying that the item worked but was selling as spares

That is unusual, I don't think i've ever seen a grinder without 14mm threads, likely mean you won't be able to buy standard threaded attachments like wire wheels or sanding pads. Try ebay for a replacement flange maybe?

Put it down to experience and get the new Dewalt DCG412 grinder...much better.
The DC410 is a very old discontinued model now.Newer ones have redesigned gearbox and higher rpms (7000 compared to 6500)
