Just about finished this

Flooring is Karndean , to be honest not as good as Amtico

Desk shelved and cabinets made from Baltic birch ply

Looks very good, is she pleased?

How did you construct the wall shelving and could you post a closer pic?

Mike , wall shelving is just 18mm ply basically using biscuit joints screws and glue. 99 % of the screw can't be seen other than the ones holding it on the wall which go through the stiffeners, these are also ply.

The longest section of shelf is around 2800 long , so again jointed with biscuits and glue.
