Android

Post by village idiot »

Mrs vi has a Samsung j5 phone that keeps running out of storage space. I replaced the 2gb micro SD card for something a fair bit bigger and moved as much as I could over, most stuff doesn't even give you the option, it's internal storage only.
Fine, a bit of free space gained so the updates start, and move stuff back into internal storage again. That and there is so much junk bundled in with Samsung android. She can't even move her photos onto the SD card because the Samsung won't let her.
Really is a pain in the hoop

I have a Samsung I really like it, but yes it does say not a lot of storage space, when there is not much on the phone.
Have you tried plugging in its charging lead into your pc? (Micro usb to usb cable) That way you can see "card" and "phone" as separate drives, and you can move stuff from one to the other.
When I put a bigger memory card in my phone, I did just that, copied all the pictures to pc, put a bigger card in, and put the pictures onto the new bigger card.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

If you 'mount' the SD card it will register that as the phones main memory.

The card was put in and the phone allowed to format it, some stuff the developer allows you to store "externally" but will move it back on an update
