Hi all,
I'm fitting a combination vanity unit including the sink/back to wall toilet against a corner of the room. The worktop is one piece. Is it best to tile the floors/wall before fitting the unit or fit the tiles around the unit in situ?
My tilers prefers to tile around units but my concern is that i don't know the exact finished floor height so will this cause issues with doing the wastes for the toilet and fitting the toilet etc?
What is the norm?
Thanks

Here's a photo if it helps!
The floor and walls will be completely tiled. Best to install vanity before or after tiling?

I would do the flooring first. I would offer up the unit and mark out on the wall to the outline. I would then tile as much walling as possible, fit the unit and then cut the tiles for the final fit to the unit.

Re: Combination vanity unit tiling
Sounds like a plan, thanks guys. Hopefully my tiler won't have a problem with this. However, i believe he was planning to tile the floor and walls in 1 day and grout the second day. I presume tiling the floor first will prevent him from tiling the walls the same day?

Re: Combination vanity unit tiling
Personally I'd be looking at more than a day, floor tiles in then as per DWD's advice. then leave the floor tile addy to go off (overnight)
then tile the majority of the walls... Is your tiler also doing the plumbing?
