Post Grot Buster grout cleaner..?

Post by stevewestern »

Many of us used to use Grot Buster to clean grout, but in their wisdom Domestos decided to stop making and selling it - I actually contacted them about this but they claimed it didn't sell well..

So, my question is what do you use now to clean grout ?

I know HG make a cleaner but it has mixed reviews from what I've seen - any thoughts ?

Also, is a grout sealer worth using after cleaning - I've never bothered in the past, but this is my shower I'm talking about, and raking out and replacing grout is not a favourite job, and even less so if I'm not being paid to do it !

If it's mould that's the problem then any of the proprietary mould sprays will do... However very often the grout gets discoloured (in showers from using coloured soap, I find a 50/50 mix of bleach and water applied with an old toothbrush works well, and it's cheap.
