I think I need a nail gun. Not sure & need advice please

In that case get a finishing nailer only.
A framing nailer would only ever be used for a job like flooring, studwork, roofing etc where it doesn't matter if the timber moves a bit.

If you only need a brad nailer see if you can find a second hand Dewalt DC618 on ebay much easier to maintain than a Paslode and wont cost you an arm and a leg when you want it serviced.

And maybe if you've got some old Dewalt batteries hiding in that shed of yours you could get it body only

mg....Hoovie did suggest hiring one but I'm not a fast worker and it's a whole house ongoing project so I dont think it's practical unfortunately.

boomshanker...is a brad nailer the same thing as a finish nailer?

I think, like Marksson says, a finish nailer would probably be best out of the 2.

I am not refurbing the house but in the futur the Mrs and I going to head to France to stay,so refurbing will be done there and like most er slightly DIY guys I fancy a nail gun,dont know why just want one.Found this site and cant find any gun they sell cheaper,dont know if the guns are any good.Any info would be great.

Opinions on this please? 'Only' £100.

Obviously going to be crap by a pro's standards but do you think it would do me as a DIYer for skirtings/architraves and the like? I don't need top of the range stuff but nor do I want to waste money on something that's just rubbish.

This pic might help anyone confused by nail sizes for nail guns, sorry about the quality of the pic. Left to right...18 gauge brads.....15 gauge finish nails...framing nails! They are all 2" nails, and in strips of 9 !

Thanks Gadget. It helps to see one against another....before I started this thread I had originally thought that the bigger the gauge, the bigger the nail.
