Kitchen refit, preparation ofswitch from electric to gas hob

Hi all, wondering if you can give me a little advice on the order of work for my kitchen

I have fitted and levelled all the cabinets, but i've decided to get a pro in to fit the worktops,

I have run a double socket off the existing cooker circuit into the adjacent cupboard and connected up the oven, leaving one connection free for the ignition of the gas hob. The oven is in a single oven base unit and I intend to mount the gas hob on the worktop on top of it - i'll need to get a gas safe fitter to connect it up.

There is currently no gas pipework in place for a gas hob, however the boiler is adjacent and the supply is on the other side of the kitchen wall so it shouldnt be a lot of work to run a gas pipe through the wall to behind where the base unit for the oven is.

However, i'm not sure if I should get the gas fitter in first, or the worktop fitted first? I'm thinking I might need to do a first fix of running gas pipe into the base unit and second fix of hooking up the hob - or do you think the whole job can be done in one go - any thoughts?

What exactly have you done ? cable size ?

What fuse/mcb at the consumer unit for this circuit ?
