Floor Tiling on Bituminous screed (Asphalt)

Evening,

New to the forum and looking for some advice please.

Doing my first DIY tiling project this weekend and I have a few questions.

Room - Bathroom Floor (not a wet room)

Subfloor - Asphalt Screed

I will be using Ditra 25 matting and using 150mm x 600mm plank tiles.


Can anyone help with the point below.

- I have cleaned and scrubbed the floor so it’s clean and dust free. Do I need to prime the floor before applying thin set adhesive for the Ditra?

- I propose using MAPEI ULTRABOND ECO VS90 PLUS under the Ditra but not sure it’s it’s suitable.

- I have a 5mm x 5mm notched trowel which I think is suitable for the Ditra. What notched trowel size would you recommend to apply the plank tiles?



Any help with the above would be really appreciated. I have photos but not sure how to reduce the size
