Punctuation woes.

You know the sorta thing. The errant apostrophe,

One of our local pubs was taken over by a new Landlord and Landlady recently, The chalkboard outside read

" Tracy, Mark and the team welcome you to the (insert pub name here) "

The new incumbents have changed the chalkboard to read " Eric & Lucy and the team welcome's you to the (insert pub name here) "

Now, I may be guilty of over use of the ellipsis ... (LOL) The thing is, that chalkboard actually offends my sense of decent punctuation every time I read it.

Discuss.

*names have been changed to protect the guilty.

EDIT... To correct a punctuation mistake.

Ellipsis. . .
What's one of those then?

But yes those unnecessary apostrophe's can grate after a while.

As it's a chalk board, can't you just rub out the offender?

Not whilst I'm driving past...
However I might mock up a "punctuation Police ID" and raid them unexpectedly
