More kitchen woes

Post by Triton »

Near the end now... but, have tall B&Q larder/ appliance housing unit and oven and micro wave. I have assembled everything and I'm pretty sure I am using correct hole positions etc. I have put oven in and intend to put micro wave above it. There is enough space to do this but there are no pre drilled holes where I need the shelf for the micro wave, (I assume it must be on a shelf). do I need to fix shelf for micro wave with angle brackets. I have an infill piece to cover any gap between oven and micro. Any help much appreciated.

I have found the shelf supports for a snug fit shelf are pretty strong. When you look at how much weight a stack of crockery is held on shelves in kitchen cabinets a microwave is probably much less of a load.

Thanks for that D. Are you suggesting that I drill holes for the standard shelf support thingamys?

Yes, but get the correct drill size so they fit tight :thumbright:
