Tiling Kitchen

Post by kath »

Hi,

I have a new project - tiling and decorating the kitchen but I am really confused over tile trim. The tiles I picked are in the link below. It says in the description that they are 7.5mm thick. Being that they are metro tiles and not flat, does this mean 7.5mm thick at the outside edge or where the tile is at it's thickest? Could anyone please tell me what size trim I should get? Any ideas on what colour trim would look best with these tiles and a peachy/very rich cream coloured emulsion? I have actually never seen tile trim before and am totally lost

The tiles are here .... https://www.diy.com/departments/trentie ... 488_BQ.prd

Thank you for any guidance you may have.

I'm pretty sure the 7.5mm is the tile at its thickest, looking at the pictures on your link it looks like the edge of the tile might be about 4mm.

I'm colourblind so won't give any advice in that respect

Yes, Metro tiles are bevelled so it is probably 4mm at the edges. Have a look at these two sites to get an idea, I used the metal trim that looks really nice with my Metro tiles. You can buy the corner pieces if needed. Also, look through https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/catalo ... o%20smooth :thumbright:
