Hi everyone, the grout between my bathroom floor tiles is crumbly. I laid them
on only 6mm ply so it probably isn't good enough and probably causing them to more. Before I redo them, is there an additive I can add to grout to make it a little bit more flexible. Thanks for any advice you can give me. Cheers
Is there anything I can add to grout to make it flexible

I saw an American show where they actually siliconed the grout lines. It took the workman ages to do but it looked good. The only problem is it getting dirty I guess but a bathroom is not normally an area where you tread dirt in. It might be an idea to experiment?

Chances are the whole floor is flexing a little, causing the grout to fail. Sorry to say this is probably a case for "Rip it out and start again"

I've used that method although on a wall not on a floor but can't see why it wouldn't work . Took a little bit longer to do as you say but looked fine. Might be worth a try before ripping it all out and starting it again.dewaltdisney wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 8:06 am I saw an American show where they actually siliconed the grout lines.
