We must have dropped on lucky with our homebase kitchen then. We went for it because for one thing with the painted ash doors it was still by a long way cheaper than howdens. I fitted it myself and am perfectly happy with the quality. On the other hand i have worked for a guy who has had a couple of howden kitchens fitted and there were a couple of points i wasn't very impressed with. For one thing where the end panels and kick boards had been cut they had already started to delaminate before the kitchen was even in use.
I've fitted magnet kitchens , quality seems decent i'd say probably better than howdens but their service leaves a bit to be desired. Missing bits and pieces of the order and they take the mick with the price. We had a quote from them and for comparison went into wickes. I wrote wickes price on the plan magnet had given us. Going back to check something the salesman noticed it an immediately knocked three grand off the price.
