Hi

Was artex ever sprayed, I need to do some patching in, I know it should be removed and plastered but the existing ceiling has some level problems and is 11mts x 3 mts so matching in the artex would be the easiest option, I have tried match the existing with a number of patterns but the existing looks like it has been sprayed on, house was built in 1988.
I have carried out an internet search on sprayed artex bot nothing comes up.

I also can not seem to add a photo here, can any one please explain how thanks.

regards Kev

You'll probably never get it exactly the same. A plasterer once told me that every plasterer has their own unique method that another plasterer would find virtuaslly impossible to copy exactly. He described it as being like a signature.

Can also be a sponged finish, not necessarily brush.

Also a total difference between a left handed or right handed artexer.
