Belle mixer won't turn when loaded

My belle mixer just stopped turning.
Motor sounds ok.
Drive belt ok, just changed for a new drive belt .
It works when empty but struggles to turn when half loaded with sand .
It also stutters a bit when empty so I can tell something is wrong.
It sometimes needs a push to help it start too.
It has oil in it .
It's a bit old now 2007. And I've been using it a fair bit lately.

I'm trying to take the motor housing off but the wheel seems stuck! It just won't come off

if its empty and spinning can you stop it by hand? sounds like the gearbox is goosed to me like

is it on a long extension lead ??
if so try it directly from a mains plug ??

There is a 20m extension cable that connects to the transformer but no long extension from the transformer.
It's been working ok previously.

I've just taken it in to a repair shop to have a look at it.
I'll post with a diagnosis if anyone else has a similar issue

You did not say it was electric, it probably needs a new capacitor. (Well the motor does)

Someone-Else, Motor runs OK, just the drum not turning. I reckon Fin is correct, gearbox Bu88ered

check to make sure the drum is actually on the spindle correctly.... when i clean these i often take the drum off to give it a wash with a hammer when a divvy labourer has had it. sometimes it doesnt get put back on properly or can think its on when its not seated correctly... worth a try just incase
