Totally free website builder
Hi, I am a member of a local classic bike club and we used to have a simple website on wikifoundry which unfortunately no longer exists. It was just a simple site with info of dates of meetings, officer details, photos of past ride out etc. It was also a means of finding us for new members and a calendar of future events. Is there another simple totally free website builder that you would recommend.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, maybe that's why the one you used went? even though a web builder is "free" it will have ads, ads will be where they want them, not where you want them, not to mention it will not be your domain name eg (This website) is www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk you will get something like www.freehost.nz/barrysh/page_1.
You can get your own domain name and web builder packages such as wix (Only because I have seen it on TV)
If its just for a group why not facebook?
Others may have a better idea, but that is how I have found it to be. (I have had several sites over the years, all paid for, worst thing was, when a host just pulled the plug, so even paid is no g'tee.)

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Hi, thanks for that. I hadn't realy thought of a Facebook group even though I already run two. Being a classic bike club many of our members are pensioners and don't do Facebook but I suppose the main aim of the website was to attract any new member who might be searching for a similar group in the area. Facebook would achieve that. Thanks

i used to set up quite a few free websites in the past, but all the free hosting has closed now
google sites was one of the last free websites i used, it moved a few years back and all the sites i had were nolonger needed anyway, and so i have NO recent experience using google sites
I think google sites still has a free option and you can link a URL to it
That maybe worth looking into a bit further

When I'm developing something, I look up a cheap website hosting on google, rent it for a time that I work on the project. It's not that expensive.

janglos199, Just saying, Barrysh has probably solved the problem by now as he only asked in APRIL, and he has never posted since, and you have chosen to ignore the crucial part of his question which was
