Help with value?

Post by Gavin14774 »

Hi again,

I’m trying to sell my late Dad’s power tools but I’m struggling with some. One is a Kity 419 bench saw. I can’t find anything similar for sale on eBay to give me an indication of what it’s worth. Can anyone advise? It’s in excellent condition.

There is someone out there who would love it but what they are willing to pay and to get to pick it up is another thing. If it is the saw I am thinking of it is a generic style like this one from Screwfix https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb763 ... /958hf#_=p. If so that is your opposition and the ceiling price as even though the Kity might be a better tool with a larger table it is still used and you are selling to a diminishing market of those people without any DIY skills or inclination to use their hands for anything other than swiping a phone. Your dad was probably like a lot of the older generation who did things.

I always say that the stuff you may cherish is your children's trip to the dump. The world has moved on sadly.

Thanks, yes my dad made Longbows, one of the few registered makers in the country and that’s all his tools were used for. He always bought good stuff though, most of it like his bandsaw is Elektra Beckum. I’ll just have to try Facebook Marketplace.
