Freud Router FT2000VCE
I've recently been left a Freud Router FT2000VCE no. 260672. It's an old machine but still seems serviceable. However, I don't think it's safe to use without a manual to refer to. I've tried everywhere I can thing of (including emailing Freud in Italy) but have come to a dead end. Can anyone help, please?

I guess it is down to experience really a router is a router, an electric motor that spins fast. As long as you get to grips with the speed settings (if it has them) learning to run it dry without a cutting bit you will soon familiarise yourself with its operation. As long as a router bit is clamped firmly in the collet there should be no issues. A router is all about feel and you learn feed rate by listening to the motor and vibration. Loads of good tutorials on Youtube.

you could print the manual out from one off many free sites just put the words "operator's manual" after the description if that doesn't work try removing suffix letters one by one as these can just be referring to the kit included rather than the actual machine

Many thanks for all the suggestions and links. I've now sourced a manual so all's well.
