Hi all
I have a bathroom wall painted in a deep green acrylic eggshell. I want to paint over in a vinyl silk as eggshell finish, especially in bold colours, is hard to get a a good finish and I've found peels off easily. Can I just paint over in a white matt emulsion to block out the green before the vinyl silk final coats? Do I really need to sand it or is there a primer I could use? Any advice gratefully received.

Sugar soap first then a coat of zinsser BIN . probably a bit of overkill, and depending on the colour may need more than 2 coats of Trade paint.
