7 core armoured cable

Post by KruzzT »

Hi

Our electrician laid a 7 core armoured cable outside which is connected to a 4 way switch on in our hallway. Two of the switches are already in use. Two have been left to be used with the 7 core outside.

He left this photo explaining what each core did but we are unsure what it means and can’t get hold of him to tell us. Can anybody help us? Thanks.

That's the problem, where multi-core cables are concerned it is up to the installer what colour does what. You will have to wait till next week to find out what he means (It is the weekend) Or you will have to take it all apart and see what does what. Sorry it is not the answer you were looking for.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
