I have been dot n dabbing plaster board in my integral garage and today I went to start on a partition stud wall and noticed overnight a damp patch has appeared which I think likely trickled from the main door along the wall. How is best to proceed with my CLS base plate and wall stud? Is it something to worry about?

just keep a gap of say 25mm from finished floor level...

use plastic spacers or any non absorbant material at least 3mm thick to keep any timbers off the floor and wall in the danger area
but that said curing the problem would be the best action first
