Window trim problem

Post by ajsmith12 »

I have woodlice getting into the house under a window trim that has raised up on an upstairs bedroom window.
Looking for some advice as to whether replacing the window trim and cleaning the window is likely to resolve this or whether it could be a bigger job e.g new window required.

Thanks in advance

Window trim problem

Wood lice like damp so I would look at the exterior caulk sealing around the window frame to see if it is allowing moisture to seep in. Invariably the damp comes from the outside with the number one culprit being overflowing gutters above caused by silt build up. Check carefully and see if there is a gap in the mastic if you can get up there.
