Hi
I have a new stud wall and to get some experience, I have put the plasterboard up. I have been advised that you should leave a 15mm gap all around. Now the plasterboard is in place, I am not sure this advice is correct!
Aside from plasterboard, is there anything I can do to fill this gap to enable the plaster to stick?
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Regards
Ben

Plasterboard with 15mm Gap on Stud Wall
I have never heard of that, plaster skim would crack irrespective of an expansion gap, they look overgenerous to me. I think I would fill it with plasterboard strips and go over with this https://www.toolstation.com/plasterboar ... ape/p61291 No one can it see when it is plastered.

Plasterboard with 15mm Gap on Stud Wall
Never heard of leaving such a large gap, nornally a couple of mm will suffice then use internal beading for a sharp edge see.. https://www.screwfix.com/p/internal-dry ... _container
Then skim over.
Then skim over.
