Kitchen door Skirting board replacement
Hi,
I would like to replace the skirting boards at the kitchen door, only that section. Could you please guide me on the items to buy and from where.?
I'll be grateful If you can recommend a good youtube tutorial to do the work.
Thank you.

You will need, a suitable size door, (Do measure your current one, both height and width as they do vary) may as well get new door furniture too, also some skirting board, as with the door, do measure it first.
As for where, you should go to your local timber merchant, or if you must, your nearest DIY store. As for YT videos have a search, some folk you will feel comfortable with, some you won't.

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

for youtube stuff look up the tall carpenter. hes done skirting board stuff im sure.
you say at the kitchen door so assume the door is remaining in place.
if you have photos of the existing skirts that may help us to advise a bit better

Thank you for all your answers. The back door of the kitchen is in place, but the skirting board is rotten, allowing ants to come in. I need to replace the board to seal off the space.

new skirting won't stop the ants. however pics of the existing skirts will help, ther are various profiles and sizes.

Get some PVC skirting, it is easier to shape to fit into the adjoining skirting and will last better than wood. (I did not read a lot of the thread)
