timer switch replaced still nt working glowworm

Post by sbeswick8 »

Evening everyone - I replaced the timer clock on this boiler (see pics easicom 28) as it wasn't moving round - when I replaced with the new clock, it moved round (hour/minute hand) but the boiler didn't respond to whether the pins were up or down. Any ideas welcome ... I had it correctly on timer selection and the boiler will only fire up when I move switch to permanent.

thks

My guess. You have the clock set to "off" it should be on "timed"
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Thanks yep Ive tested all options (in fact the timer only comes with 2 with options new - which I assume are timer and permanent). I took the timer back to the plumbing supplies guys/called glowworm technical and they can't understand why the new ones have only two options!

Regardless - I don't think I have left it in the off position unless someone knows which is which re the two switch options?
