flouresecent tubes (non LED)

Post by ffoxy99 »

are these totally obsolete now?

I have old units in my garage (4ft, 5ft, 6ft) and need new tubes for many of then (T8 fitting iirc)

Went to B&Q and Toolstation and they didn't have anything that looked right.

They had some T8 ones but they were LED. Would your 'batten' need to be a special type to take an LED tube? :dunno:

Feb 2024 was the date they were banned by the government. You can however still buy them on line Click me

It depends on what you have as to what you have to do to convert it. Some you have to take the gear out, some just use a link where the starter is.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.
