Morning!
We've got a new thermostat as the old one broke.
Existing was a Flomasta thermostat and receiver 868Mhz.
Replacement is a Salus thermostat. Can I keep the existing Flomasta reciever? I've tried to sync and am failing. Can't seem to get the receiver to enter sync mode.
Any ideas appreciated.

New Thermostat paring issue

Probably not. Although they use the same frequency, it does not mean they "speak the same language" Or to put it another way, A Swedish man asking a Chinese man a question. They are both human, they both speak, but that's about it.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

New Thermostat paring issue
To make it that easy would be dangerous, be it a bulb, light switch, thermostat or anything else, I press buttons in the order told on the instructions and hope it works, add a new thermostat, and it says new device found, I add it, without checking it is my thermostat not next doors.
So the fewer chances there are that I can select the wrong one, the better.
In the old days, when thermostats simply turned on/off, it was easy enough to see an error, today the thermostat turns the boiler up/down, and also we have weather compensation, the difference between a good and bad installation was likely 70% for worst and 90% for best, but today looking at 190% to 490% with heat pumps, and so the whole industry is playing catch up, where 50% of heating guys are over 50, and the attitude it was good enough in 1980 so it is good enough today is no good.
So likely there is a lot more in the new thermostat, which was not even thought about when the old one was made.
