Random black spot in bathroom sink..

Hi,

Had people over and suddenly had this mark appear. Doesn’t come off with cleaning and you can feel it as you run your finger over it. On white sink stands out. Am a novice so this may be silly question..but could it be that enamel had come off and that area of sink below enamal is showing? Would that be black…

Any ideas on how to repair…..

Would be most grateful for your ideas…

Inclusion in the ceramic. Might have been cosmetically hidden at the factory or a small bit of glaze on top has come away.
