external wall lights

Post by time served »

I would like to fit some external sensor lights to the side and rear of my house which can be overridden from a light switch.

If i wire into the existing lighting circuit will i still need to fit a fused spur rated at 5amps because it is suppling external lighting?

Hi,

There is no need to fit a fused spur if it is being wired into the existing lighting circuit, you only need a fused spur and 5 or 3 amp fuse if you are taking the feed from the ring main or similar.
