I don't use the microwave Peter, only for de-frosting and grilling, Oh and making Christmas puddings.

The grill is good because it rotates and cooks nice and even.

I've only got a single gas oven with an integrated grill, so I've also got a Panasonic combi microwave/oven/grill on the worktop next to the cooker. Used it almost daily for the past 3 years or so and it's given no trouble at all.

I find it's handy to have the extra oven capacity available, which can be run at a different temperature to the gas oven when I'm doing a Sunday lunch. The quartz grill works very nicely - although if I'm grilling meat that'll tend to be done on the George Forman on the other side of the cooker. I've also been quite impressed with the combi functions where it uses microwave, grill and oven in various amounts to cook stuff - it'll do a decent sized baked potato in 15 mins, or a Hollands meat pie from frozen without the pastry going horrible in about the same.

Mine's a Panasonic NN-A774. I doubt they make that specific model any more, but I'm sure they do something similar.
