I don't shop in Sainsburys.
I shop in Asda or Tesco because they are the nearest supermarkets! I have cooked for the last Lord Sainsbury though!
A pleasant, polite man.

So, is Asda a "less" or a "fewer"?

Asda is a Fewer - as in "the fewer times I go to Asda the better"
Tesco is the Less - as in "I wish there were less Tescos about"
I am with Handy - Waitrose for me!! It was one of the clinchers when I bought my house - only two Waitroses in the whole of Devon & Cornwall, one of which is 1/2 mile away
PS - Waitrose has the "Only Baskets" option for the speedy checkout.

I go to Tesco because I can park there for 3 hours without needing a £1 coin, great for the bank or town shopping! I go to Asda because it is handy for town shopping and the library! I never go to Waitrose because it's over 24 miles away! Morrisons is handy because it is next to the hospital and the B & Q warehouse. Sainsburys is out of the way but I suffer from mild claustrophobia if I go in there, something to do with the aisles being too close together. I like Lidl and Aldi because they sell foreign chocolate with a higher cocoa content and weird stuff sometimes and their bags for life are roomier. I'm not at the stage where I have to go to only one supermarket every week! Variety is the spice of life as they say.

think this thread is definatelyy off-topic!
I buy my food from Waitrose rather then somewhere like Tescos as I don't need to try and find the 'Finest' range or whatever - Waitrose basic fresh food is equal to the best Tescos can rip their suppliers off for.
They have not been too good for the non-food stuff (washing powder, loo roll, etc) price wise, but recently have been putting good offers together.
Lidl is just plain weird
And my local-local (walking distance) shop is Spar - there are hundreds round here and are great for deals on alcohol

Hoovie,
This is off topic but I couldn't give a stuff!! Anything that takes my mind off things is good!
The Co-op is everywhere here and is very pricey. There have always been lots of Spa shops in far flung places in my experience. They sell strange things!
Somerfield is another one, a bit like stepping back in time in some ways.

We should do a poll to see who likes and who dislikes texting.

You beat me to it!
I do use text, as Mrs M is very deaf, so doesn't hear on the phone. Otherwise 'fewfriends' Mooncat gets very little use out of his mobile phone.
