i got a load of SS screws for the job

Making in 6' panels on the ground, then assemble these panels onto the base, so should be easier to make sure the planks are in tight. Basically going for a flat pack shed idea, then assemble it

i dont know how you are planning to do the corners but assuming you have a3 or4" side at every corner

take a bit of 2x1" treated this will come out as 51x25mm from a wood yard afix the batton to the side off the 3" edge with 1" hanging off the edge place one each end this gives you battons to work to [inbetween] and also protects the end grain in the cladding

this picture shows the wood on the corners although the l/h/s is actualy slightly wider to accomodate the door

dont forget to extend down to the point the cladding finnishes
this should be an inch or 2 below the frame to protect the join also up to a point with a slope to meet the roof

you can of course use a temporary batton to work up to then when assembled use the correct battons shaped to fit

complete, apart from the door ............will do that on monday, had enough of it for now


Also, i had the base set out and the wife went mental about the size of it, so its now 14' long (x6'), instead of 18' ( x 6')..................now all my crap isnt goint to fit
