If you go to one of those hydraulic and air specialist places they'll have fittings with every thread known. The one down here also had a minimum order the last time I went. "Trade only" sort of place. Can't remember but it wasn't that much so I just got some extra connectors.
I bought one of the needle scalers at Lidl the other day (for future use ) Also bought a couple of the swivel connectors that were on offer. They look as if they'll be useful.
One other thing. The non digital tyre inflator I have has developed a faulty zero on the gauge. The needle doesn't go back to the stop. Accurate enough still if you take the raised "zero" into account (ie subtract the amount it's reading at "zero"), as far as I can see compared with a couple of different tyre gauges.
My tyre inflator (draper professional, non-digital) has a similar fault, but work in the opposite, the reading is consistently low and it takes about 10PSI just to get the needle to move off zero. Since I only use it maybe 3 or 4 times a year it isn't worth trying to fix or replace, I can get it close enough with the dodgy dial and then I always use a gauge to check it.

Agreed. I never trust the dial on the inflator, I just use it as a rough guide and then check with a gauge the same as you.

Digital gauges are supposed to be more accurate, and not lose accuracy so quickly. I'll have a guess that they "self zero" as well which would help.
Really though, without the testing gear and regular calibration it's anyone's guess. I've got a newish digital tyre gauge, and a couple of the pen type. They all read near enough the same to not cause trouble, but I trust the digital one more as the others are oldish.

I had a spare hose lying around that I forgot about. So I used that, I had to buy a female quick release coupling from the short stubby bayonet used by aldi, lidl & stanley. It cost 12 bloody quid. But to be fair, had it not been for the staff at MM I would not have known about this. Anyone else who wants it can just copy the name of the product and hit ebay and get the same for £6-£8
Also the prefitted bayonet on these lidl/aldi tools have completely different thread to what the regular air tools have. This is what I was having trouble with. It's a lot finer thread and I wonder if aldi/lidl do this because it's so much more cheaper to construct them like that.
