Now checked and mine hasn't been updated, so doing it manually now.

If you go to 'settings', windows updates, then advanced, you have loads of options as to when to let windows update and install itself.

Well that didn’t work!

Came down this morning expecting it all to be updated and finished and even though I have everything set to let it update automatically whenever it wants, the fooker was sat there waiting for me to say it could install the update. Grrrrr

wine~o wrote:in settings go to *windows update*

Under *update settings* click on the blue bit that says *change active hours*

Set the times that you are most likely using the 'puter. Save.

Windholes won't install updates (without asking you) during these times.

Mines set 8 am to 9 pm.
Well that's f3cked that theory then. At 7pm ish without asking Windows installed update and shut down...

Yes my Windows 10 did all sorts, in the main only used to print with, left on but when I logged on Firefox went, back ground picture went, and all my log on info went with Firefox. Main PC is Windows 7 no problem with that.

It seems the up date was for security however I must question that when it removed not only pass words to use with Firefox but also Windows 10, I found I could open without entering a password.

firefox has recently done a update (A update 3-4 version back, turned on its auto update feature)- it clears your cookies, but your passwords are still stored, just a matter of login back in so the cookies hold the info

“I’ve been a very bad girl” she said, biting her lip.

“I need to be punished.”

“Very well,” he said, and he installed windows 10 on her laptop.

I think updates are more of a benefit to Microsoft that to the user, installing more ways on your computer for them to spy on and more effectively track your activity for their own commercial purposes.
