Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
But anyway, that's all the downstairs broken through
This is looking into the extension (New Dining area) from the living room, and the kitchen around the 'L' shaped corner to the left.
Stepping into the dining area up to the patio door opening and turning around...
Living room to left, kitchen to right. That's the two ground floor walls gone
Further around the corner...Looking towards living room left, kitchen right

Looking from original kitchen into new kitchen extension. Showing RSJ holding the ends of the upstairs bathroom joists...And also showing the new upstairs/extension floor joists.

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
Worked it so that the whole ceiling heights will match/run right through from old to new. Was important for me to get this right. I had to tack/nail up some strips onto the bottom of the joists to get it right due to a slight error on the plans

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
Box room, nothing doing as yet, but in the plans this WAS going to be the new bathroom, decided against it now though, so will stay as an office/bedroom if needed.

Front Bedroom, this will stay as a bedroom (second). The ol' built in cupboards are really! deep, so gonna try and salvage them

Other bedroom, this will now become the bathroom, rather than the box room being bathroom, as in the plans. Nice and roomy, well it will be once MASSIVE cupboard is gone!

Stood at top of stairs, can see separate toilet , and small bathroom to right. The extension is through that window on the right!

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
There had been an ongoing leak in the bathroom while the house was up for sale But I knew it was an easy fix, rip everything out and put some stops on the pipework It was that bad, that the floor boards had all 'curled' up!
Bathroom from door.
Bathroom from the shower (No bath!)
