Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
Hi all,
I'd already posted a large topic about my house renovation on a forum I used to run (Sadly closed down now) But I can still access all the posts so thought I'd start it again here
I've always worked on my own houses, but after splitting with the girlfriend of near 15 years this is the first place I've bought on my own...
The start, around 3 years ago! It's taking so long because I'm doing all this without borrowing any money, just paying for things as and when I can
I've got a lot more to add yet, so I'll carry on posting when I can.
So here it is...I'll start with the whole outside stuff first.
Wasn't long before first skip arrived.
Out the back. Garden goes back another 10FT behind the massive trees!
Neil.

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
The plans for an extension
And the notice that appeared on the garden wall
So time to demolish one of the sheds.
This voodoo thing that was in the shed didn't stay for long!

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
This has been the absolute worst part so far, digging, shifting, lifting tons of sh*t!
In came the mini digger to make a mess! The pile is what was garden area to rear of house, and we used it to fill in the garden where the shed was removed from.
Digging the footings.
Ever growing pile of sh*t.
View from upstairs, you can see the area we filled in with crap from digging out. Handy because it squares off the garden.
Here you can see the idea of what little of the rear will be left!

This is where I started having issues. Found a sh*t pipe that will run under the extension.
This is the join which runs under next doors.

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
Frigging building inspector made me replace the sh*t pipe... This meant we had to go down another two foot! to remove the old pipe and replace with new!
So here we are laying the footings etc.
Had to put an access point in for future rodding etc.

Just realised that it's 15 posts per page on here, so I'll try and reduce the amount of pics I'm posting... Unless everbody's on proper broadband these days?

Bit more going up.
And also, in these pics you can see two pipes which the inspector made us fit. They run into the original part of house under the wood floor for venting.

The two venting pipes and trying to show the level, remember this is after filling it all in!
