Bath board
I'm looking at making some bespoke bath boards that sit on the bath and can house tea light candles, glass off wine, slot for phone or tablet and wondered what the best type of wood would be best to use

Bath board
Teak is pretty indestructible where water is concerned, I've made duck-boards for public showers from that, (and put two offcuts under a big pot in my garden, they were unaffected after 10 years). I've also used Meranti for joists on a first floor (and thus exposed to view from underneath and we want it to look nice!) balcony.
One day it will all be firewood.
