Blimey! Have you been keeping up with the shenanigan's over recent and further-expected price rises?
Holy Moly! This could turn out disastrous for many and it seems that it is all Government policy after all. This guy (see below) comes with pretty reliable qualifications and background and has some VERY interesting things to say on the issue of energy and Government policy. Watch the presenters jaw when he 'gets' to the punchline.

(see it at 5:17 onwards and particularly at 8:11) but I recommend you watch the whole segment. Astonishing.

This is pretty much ALL down to Russia …..they control a huge amount of the gas supplies to Europe and are punishing the west for what they believe is the west’s interference in the old eastern block countries.
The UK needs to be self sufficient as much as feasible so not going ahead with new North Sea gas and oil is plain daft ATM. The eco warriors can live in cold houses but I don’t want to!
Sure VAT could be cut or abolished, but that’s only a small amount.
The days of cheap fuel are pretty much over and ALL Governments since the 1970’s have contributed to this fiasco

Not sure it's all as clear cut as simply being 'it's the Russians'.....
NS2 is in place and ready-to-roll but the EU are refusing to sign up to guarantees the Russians (rightfully) want so prices for existing sources of energy have been forced up - if you watch the video above you can just apply the same logic to European supplies as to the UK version.
Europe (and the UK) COULD HAVE had their own gas supplies (fracked) but the lunatics in charge can't see past their backhanders from Green Energy industries - equally they could have adopted Nuclear but the same 'green' lunatics put a stop to that.
We have enough COAL to last centuries but no..... let's leave that CHEAP source of energy for the Chinese to exploit.
This is all LUNACY and trying to blame the Russians just plays into the hands of the politicians who are so damned eager to exploit the Ukraine position that they'd happily throw the Russians and all of us too, into a mire of global conflict rather than accept that their ideas are shite and they need to be hanging from piano wires.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Nothing to do with Russia mate. The energy cap was withdrawn. BP announced recent profits of over 40%.
It's all about greed.

Removed/increased it's all the same thing. I meant the existing price cap has been removed.

The problem is actually storage, we have less then 5% capacity. So we find gas in the North Sea, we have very little storage capacity, we sell it to Germany, they store it and sell it back to the UK at inflated prices.
The UK Government are to blame for the gas crisis. The crisis has been there way before COVID and Ukraine.
Martin Lewis promoted switching suppliers, in doing that he created an 'echo chamber'. Sometime between 2012 - 2015, he appeared on Sky News promoting 'switching suppliers', 5 minutes later Ed Davey Minister for Energy (law maker) appeared on Sky News, promoting 'switching supplier', ever since then Energy Ministers has promoted 'switching suppliers'. That is why there is a crisis. That is factually correct.

If it was my decision to make I would open more North Sea oil and gas fields AND some coal mines, so the UK would be self sufficient whilst more renewable sources are built .
Importing coal from around the globe isn’t good for us

The whole idea of globalism has been exposed for the con trick it was created as. We've exported all our essential industries to the lowest bidder, made ourselves vulnerable to sharp practises and shortages and only enriched the corporations and banks as a result. Not to mention the fabricated scares that make people believe the actual solution will kill them (Fossil fuels/CO2). The customer? Tough 5417.
But we aso have short memories and even IF we sorted out the current issues and got back to 'normality' there still wouldn't be a clamour for 'never again'.... people would still fall for the BS and allow the old system to propagate.
We're in the 'every man for himself' stage now.
