Tripping Under floor heating

Post by Char1234 »

Hi, we had our under floor heating thermostat fitted Ocotber ish. It’s turned out company I bought off sent wrong one so send me new one - should have been like for like swap but keeps tripping. It ran before on 13AMP fuse plug - paper work said 16AMP do bought some 16AMP but blows straight away - also tried 13AMP. I have done everything like for like. These pictures are how it is wired now. Am I missing something really simple? Just before I call an electrician 😁 thank you
Apparently red and white wires are sensor and does not matter which way round it goes.

Tripping Under floor heating

Post by Someone-Else »

What is it that trips? (Picture would be good)
Humour me, with the mains off, take out the wires that are in 1 & 2, make sure they can't go anywhere, and turn it back on, what happens?

How many heating mats have you got? is it 4?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

:idea1: Click Here for a video how to add/change pictures

You have a lot of wires there.

Do you have any details about the size and ratings of the electric mat(s)?

Also a fuse blows, not trips
