Papering a plasterboard wall

I need to put lining paper on an unskimmed plasterboard wall. How should I prepare it?

Use paper drywall tape over board joints, not scrim tape. Apply Plasterboard Joint Compound over the tape, if necessary more than one layer, and also over screw heads. Sand down the compound gently when perfectly dry so as not to dig up the board surface. Size the entire wall with weak wallpaper paste and allow to dry. Apply lining paper in usual way.

Alternatively use Wallrock, Erfurt or similar HD lining papers.

It's already been filled and sanded mate. I know you're not meant to paper straight onto bare plasterboard. I just couldn't remember how.

Cheers
